We hope all our HHA Chameleons have a happy, safe, restful and fun summer! We'll see you in August!

We had the best time celebrating our Kindergarten Showcase this morning! We are so proud of all our kindergarten chameleons, every single one has been brave, tried new things and grown! Thank you to our fine arts and kindergarten teams for this incredible show!

We had the best time today celebrating all our Chameleons second through fourth grade! We are so proud of how much everyone has grown this year! What an incredible year we have had at HHA!

As we celebrate Memorial Day we remember those who have fallen defending on country and honor those who are still serving. In that spirit our Howe Hall AIMS Art Chameleons created a collaborative mural for the American Legion Post 166 across from our school. The mural was installed last week and on Friday we celebrated this great partnership. Each student painted either a section of the mural or a military seal. Then, the students worked together to make it into a cohesive picture with the seals presented along the sides.

Today we celebrated all our 5th grade students on their wonderful time at Howe Hall. We are so proud of each and every student and everything they have accomplished. We know every single one of our students has great things ahead of them! No matter how long or short your time at HHA has been you'll always be a Chameleon.

This week the 5th grade put on a spectacular performance of "Shakespeare's Greatest Hits!" This show was a mashup of scenes from some of the Bard's most famous plays, including "Romeo and Juliet," "A Midsummer Night's Dream," and "Hamlet," among others. Way to go Chameleons!

Fourth grade has been hard at work creating their businesses for Market Day. Students had to decide if they were going to work with a business partner or on their own. After, students had to decide if they were going to make a product or provide a service. Students created business signs and even obtained reviews from classmates to help market their product/service. Students are also advertised by recording a commercial or creating flyers. To culminate this project, students opened their stores on Market Day to sell their products. They also purchased from their classmates using their profits and money that they earned for various things over the last couple of weeks. What a great way to end the year!

On Monday we celebrated our Terrific Kids for the month of May! These Terrific Kids were chosen by their peers and teachers for their amazing character traits of Fairness and Cooperation. Thank you to our wonderful PTA for providing a delicious treat for our celebration. Congratulations to our TERRIFIC Chameleons for May!

We had the best time celebrating our 2020 and 2024 graduates today! We are so proud of all our chameleons! Congratulations to all our students you've got a bright future ahead!

As a way of continuing to promote child nutrition and adding to the many celebrations capping the end of the school year, Berkeley County School District’s Office of Child Nutrition Services will launch a special giveaway next week (May 20–24) that will offer some big prizes.
Elementary, middle and high school students eating lunch and/or breakfast next week will be entered into a drawing for prizes that include, but are not limited to:
*iPads
*Wireless earbuds/headphones
*Underwater cameras
*Projectors
*Action cameras
*Bluetooth speakers
Students will receive one entry into the drawing for each meal they eat. Winners will be drawn at random, and those who eat multiple meals will obviously have an increased chance of winning.

We hope everyone is enjoying their Mother's Day holiday as much as we are!

We ended our week with a great celebration for all the volunteers that have supported us this school year! Congratulations to Brenda Newcomb our Volunteer of the Year! Brenda's efforts this year have been invaluable to our HHA community.

Today the Ferro family treated our faculty and staff to a delicious pizza lunch from Famularis Pizzeria! It was absolutely delicious! Thank you for our lunch!

We are so lucky to have such a supportive community!

Students in Mrs. Harrelson and Mrs. Lawhons first grade classes were treated to a delicious pizza party provided by the Office of Inclusive Excellence and Student Support for their 100% participation in Berkeley County's Purple Up! Day which is a celebration of the Month of the Military Child.

Congratulations! The following codes were selected in tonight's lottery. Families that were selected will receive a phone call tomorrow.

Today we got to celebrate Mrs. Burgess as she received the Bright Ideas Grant from Berkeley Electric Cooperative. Mrs. Burgess will be using this grant to purchase Bee-Bots for both our kindergarten classes! Stay tuned for all the great programming our chameleons will be doing. Way to go Mrs. Burgess!

Check out Howe Hall AIMS performing groups! Monday, featured a stellar performance by our Chorus and Drumline. On Tuesday, our Dance Company and Players performed an imaginative Improv Show. Additionally, a gallery showcasing pieces by Art Chameleons was on display both nights.

Last night we celebrated one of HHA's very own! Isaiah Thompson's artwork has received the prestigious honor of representing Howe Hall AIMS at the Board Room Art Show for Berkeley County School district. Only one piece of artwork per school is chosen for this honor. Congratulations Isaiah!
